What does Best Treatment do?

  • Recommending appropriate partner hospitals or surgeons for treatments selected
  • Handling all travel-related services such as visa formalities, transportation, accommodation, social programme for accompanying persons, etc.
  • Providing a Personal Health Manager if required. He or she takes charge from start to finish, from planning your treatment until your safe return home.

What are the costs for my treatment?

That depends on the individual treatment(s). From your first enquiry on, we can provide you with preliminary cost estimates for the proposed treatment.

However, since the treatment proposal is based on a remote diagnosis, upon examination the doctor in charge may recommend further medical care. Such additional treatment(s) may bring about further costs, which will be charged separately.

Use of Best Treatment's mediation services does neither induce surcharges for medical services nor for any requested travel-related services such as accommodation, transfers, interpreter, or Personal Health Manager.

Do I get to choose between different clinics/medical providers?

As a matter of course, you will have a choice between several medical providers for the treatments selected. We will provide you with offers from the most renowned health centres and specialists in the region, making sure you receive the best medical care available.

What happens if complications arise?

All our partners are experts in their specialty. However, the possibility of complications remains. Thanks to the experience and qualifications of both doctors and staff, as well as state-of-the-art techniques, all persons involved are trained to handle such rare occurrences with confidence.

What does a Personal Health Manager do?

Our Personal Health Managers have extensive knowledge of the healthcare business as well as the tourism industry. He or she takes charge from start to finish, from planning of your treatment until your safe return home.

Your Personal Health Manager is by your side at all times, taking care of you and your relatives on-site, if requested. Discrete, sensitive to your needs, good at organising, your Personal Health Manager is dedicated to you, your family or friends, but especially to your most valuable possession: your health.

What does a Personal Health Manager not do?

Your Personal Health Manager does not provide any medical advice. This is the prerogative of the doctors and specialists involved.

Does everyone I deal with speak English?

All our Personal Health Managers as well as our contacts in the health care centres speak English fluently, as does the staff of our accommodation partners as well as that of other service providers.

If another language is requested, we are pleased to provide an interpreter.

Can I combine medical travel with a vacation?

That depends on your personal condition and the treatment you require. You might consider taking a vacation before your appointed treatment.

Is it possible for family or friends to join me?

Of course! For family or friends accompanying you, we are pleased to arrange accommodation and draw up a sightseeing programme for them.

Do you offer only entire packages?

We are pleased to create an entire package based on your personal wishes and requirements, as well as to coordinate all issues of your medical travel.

Nevertheless, you can also select individual elements out of our service range.

Will my insurance cover medical treatment abroad?

In general, insurers do not cover medical treatment abroad. However, some insurers will meet part of such costs. We recommend making inquiries with your personal insurance company before claiming medical services abroad.

How do I pay my medical travel costs?

Generally speaking, the payment process consists of two parts:

1) Payment to clinics and hospitals for all medical services
Each clinic/health centre individually determines its fees for treatments and its payment modalities. We will provide you with details of all relevant clinics/health centres.

2) Payment to Best Treatment for all other services
Once booking is complete, you will receive a collective invoice for all services selected, such as travel, accommodation, a Personal Health Manager or interpreter if requested, etc.

A 25% deposit of the total is due within 7 working days after booking. In case of cancellation, this prepayment will not be refunded.

The remaining 75% are due at latest 14 days before your departure. Full prepayment is a necessary security prerequisite for Best Treatment and its partners. We hope for your understanding.

Payment for urgent medical travel:
In case of urgent treatments, you will be notified immediately about payment to the clinics or hospitals concerned, and Best Treatment will accept payment for the other services at the time of signing the contract. That way, you can receive the medical treatment you need, even if booked at the last minute.

Payment is commonly transferred by bank transfer or credit card.
Any additional and/or unanticipated services may be paid for on-site by credit card.
